In 2015, a friend shared with us his idea of creating an app-based service for business matching and networking, to be launched in conjunction with Seeds&Chips Global Food Innovation Summit and the EXPO 2015 in Milan. With just a few months in which to create a brand from nothing, my team-mate and I went full beast mode and developed the name, payoff, logo, identity, website, and app beta version, as well as all social media and marketing collateral.

The concept behind the service is that users can register for an event through the app, see who will be in attendance, and schedule meetings in advance through the platform. This allows attendees to make the most of networking opportunities and connect with like-minded professionals, identify potential investors, or seek out new clientele. Our design priorities were optimal, intuitive usability and a clear, engaging identity to appeal to all types of users.

At its maiden event, the app facilitated over 260 face-to-face meetings. Two years later, when the brand pivoted its business model and target market audience, iiMERGE reached out to me again to consult on its website and app language.
